KAMLOOPS, BC - Firing a bogey-free 67 in Round 2, Ethan Howes shot up the leaderboard at the 2025 Golf Canada University/College Championship at Rivershore Golf Links. 

Howes, a two-time tournament winner in the fall, had one eagle no bogeys through 14 holes, and three birdies in his last four holes to shoot five-under. He enters Thursday sitting in a tie for fourth, two shots back of the lead. It's the third-lowest score for Howes this season, which saw him fire a round of 65 at each the UofA and UofL Invitationals en route to victory. 

Kai Baerg fell down to 21st with a second-round 75 (+3). Through two rounds, the Golden Bears sit in a three-way tie on the cut-line with Waterloo and Laurier. 

Despite finishing one shot better on Wednesday, the Pandas slid down to 9th in the team standings at nationals. The Pandas sit just four shots outside the cut line entering Round 3 on Thursday. 

A second-round 76 (+4) has sophomore Panda Kalee Seto sitting in a tie for eighth, while an 82 for Anna Kibria has her in 24th. 

Following Round 3, the field will be cut to the low nine (9) Men's Teams and the low six (6) Women's Teams, or any team within ten (10) shots of their respective divisions lead. Individuals within ten (10) shots of third place will also make the cut, or any player within the top 10.
