STONY PLAIN, Alta. – Kai Baerg birdied his way to his first collegiate title and Kalee Seto captured her third-consecutive University of Alberta Invitational crown, as both the Golden Bears and Pandas won their home tournaments on Monday at Stony Plain Golf Course.

The win is the third-straight for the Golden Bears this fall, who swept the September schedule. The Pandas win is their second, alongside a win in Regina to open the season.

The Golden Bears men shot a 36-hole total of 593 to win by 11 strokes over Regina (604), with Lethbridge (618) and Calgary (631) rounding out the field. Baerg overcame a three-shot deficit to teammate Rhees Moss after the opening round, firing a final-round 71 to finish at 145 and win the individual title by one stroke over Regina's Reece Kuski and teammate Seth Mottershead-Yee, who tied for second at 146. Mottershead-Yee, the tournament runner-up for the second straight week after also finishing second in Lethbridge, narrowly missed a birdie putt on the 18th hole that would have forced a playoff with Baerg. Jaxon Kotylak and Moss both tied for seventh at 151, with Nate Ergezinger finishing 16th at 163.

The Pandas took the women's team title as well, edging Lethbridge 502-503 in one of the tightest finishes of the season, with Calgary third at 553. Seto trailed teammate Amy Smith by two shots after the opening round before closing with an 82 to win the individual title outright at 162, two strokes ahead of Smith's 164. It's the seventh individual title of Seto's career and her first of the 2026 season. Sam Speck and Hayden Desmarais tied for sixth at 178, and Sabrina Lau finished 10th at 181.

Both Golden Bears squads will next head to Lethbridge for the 2026 Canada West Championship on Oct. 5-6.
