LETHBRIDGE, Alta. – The University of Alberta Golden Bears won the 2026 Pronghorn Invitational on Monday, firing a 36-hole team score of 581 to take the men's title by four strokes over the host University of Lethbridge Pronghorns at Paradise Canyon Golf Club.

Alberta shot rounds of 289 and 292 over the weekend to finish at 13-over-par, edging out Lethbridge (585) and the University of Calgary (586), with two University of Regina entries rounding out the field. It's the Golden Bears' second tournament victory of the season, following their win at the inaugural Cougar Cup in early September.

Seth Mottershead-Yee led the way for Alberta, finishing runner-up individually at three-under 139 — the highest finish of his varsity career. Mottershead-Yee carded six birdies in the opening round before adding three more birdies and an eagle in the final round, finishing just one stroke behind champion Jackson Wingert of Regina. Kai Baerg backed him up with a fifth-place finish at 144 (+2), while Nate Ergezinger tied for sixth at 147 (+5) and Jaxon Kotylak tied for 10th at 149 (+7). Rhees Moss and Braydon Bouliane both tied for 14th at 152 (+10), and Nolan McKay rounded out the Alberta lineup in 26th.

On the women's side, Alberta finished second as a team with a score of 520, trailing Lethbridge's 495 but edging Calgary by one stroke for the runner-up spot. Amy Smith paced the Pandas with a career-best second-place individual finish with a two-day total of 159, moving into the position with a one-under 34 on the back nine of the opening round before Lethbridge's Kyra Tovee ran away with the individual title at 153. Hayden Desmarais tied for sixth at 180, Sam Speck finished 10th at 182 and Sabrina Lau placed 11th at 183.
