LETHBRIDGE - Handling extremely challenging and windy conditions at Paradise Canyon Golf Resort, both the Golden Bears & Pandas placed second at the 2023 University of Lethbridge Invitational.Â
Leading the Pandas was rookie
Kalee Seto, who followed up an 89 on Sunday with a stellar 83 on Monday morning to finish in solo fourth. Her 83 was the third lowest score on Monday on the women's side, behind a pair of 82's from two Calgary Dinos.
Jenna Sand placed 5th, with
Sabrina Lau placing 7th for the Pandas.Â
On the men's side, sophomore
Sean Robertson finished solo fourth with a 74-79 final score. Robertson's three-over 74 on Sunday was the second lowest score during the entire event.
Ryan Wittrock (75-81) also earned a top-five finish for the Alberta men.Â
The Calgary Dinos finished atop both the men's and women's standings in Lethbridge. This past weekend marked the first full event for the UAlberta golf team, following a small contingent competing in Kelowna the week before.Â
Next on the fall calendar is the Dino Open (September 24/25) and the Canada West Championship (October 1-3) hosted by the Fraser Valley Cascades.Â
