Seto, Pandas capture UofA Invitational titles at Millwoods

Seto wins second individual title of 2025 by four shots

EDMONTON - Led by a career-best 72 from sophomore Panda Anna Kibria on Monday at Millwoods, the Pandas captured the 2025 UofA Invitational by 15 shots over the University of Calgary.

Kibria's 72 vaulted her into second on the leaderboard behind teammate Kalee Seto, who won her second individual title of 2025 with rounds of 75-79 (+9). Seto has now won six career University titles in her three seasons as a Panda, and will be among the favourites to medal at the 2025 Canada West Championship.

On the women's leaderboard, Alberta posted rounds of 239 and 233 for a combined 472 (+40) to secure a commanding 15-stroke victory over Calgary (487, +55). Lethbridge rounded out the field in third at 526 (+94).

Amy Smith (160, +16) and Hayden Desmarais (163, +19) finished fourth and tied for fifth, respectively, while Sam Speck (170, +26) and Sabrina Lau (178, +34) also contributed to Alberta's deep showing across the field.

On the men's side, the Golden Bears battled to a second-place team finish at 587 (+11), just eight strokes back of champion Calgary (579, +3). Regina's top squad placed third at 592 (+16), while Lethbridge finished fourth at 612 (+36).

Individually, Alberta's Braydon Bouliane carded consistent rounds of 71–71 to tie for second at 142 (-2), while teammate Ethan Howes finished just one stroke behind in fourth at 143 (-1). Kai Baerg matched Alberta's low round of the weekend with a 70 on Sunday to tie for sixth at 146 (+2). Connor O'Reilly (148, +4) and Jaxon Kotylak (149, +5) placed inside the top 10, while Seth Mottershead-Yee (150, +6) and Rhees Moss (156, +12) rounded out the team's scoring.

Calgary's Sam McKeown captured the men's individual title with rounds of 69 and 67, finishing at 136 (-8) for a six-shot victory.

The UofA Invitational marked the final event before the Canada West Championships, hosted on October 20th and 21st at Chilliwak Golf Club.
