Leading the Pandas to a team title at the 2022 Huskie Open in Saskatoon, third-year wrestler Katie Mulkay has been named the Sherlock Holmes Athlete of the Week. 

Mulkay captured gold in the highly competitive women's 67kg weight class, which included a pair of Calgary Dinos and one Saskatchewan Huskie, along with two club wrestlers. 

The Sherwood Park product also earned a silver medal at the Simon Fraser Open earlier this fall, as the Pandas head into December as the #1 ranked team in the nation. 

Next on the wrestling calendar is the Battle of the Rockies, scheduled for this weekend in Great Falls Montana. 

The University of Alberta will host both the Canada West and U SPORTS Championship in February.
