Helping the Golden Bears maintain their perfect record with a pair of wins over the Mount Royal Cougars this weekend, fifth-year guard Tyus Jefferson has been named the Sherlock Holmes Pubs Athlete of the Week.

Jefferson scored a combined 31 points on Friday and Saturday night, as the Bears earned 83-72 and 97-88 home wins over the Cougars. The Riverton, Utah product also contributed a handful of momentum shifting dunks to electrify the crowd at Saville. 

Jefferson added five rebounds, two assists and a steal to go along with his 16 points in Friday night's 83-72 win, before dropping 15 points, six steals, five assists and three rebounds on Saturday night.

The U SPORTS No. 2 ranked Bears are now 4-0 in conference play, and 10-0 overall to start their season.

Following their 'bye' this weekend, the Bears will be back in action on November 26th and 27th when they visit the Calgary Dinos.
