
For the second week in a row, the Sherlock Holmes Athlete of the Week award is going to a member of the Bears Basketball program, with fourth-year forward Adam Paige earning the honour this week.Â
Paige was sensational in the Bears road sweep over the Saskatchewan Huskies, helping the Bears extend their conference win-streak to seven. Now sitting at 13-5 with one weekend left, the fourth-place Bears are in prime position to host the first weekend of conference playoffs.Â
The White Rock, BC product finished the weekend with 38 points in two wins, adding 12 rebounds and six assists, all while making 56% of his shots (14/25).Â
Paige was dynamic on both ends of the floor in Friday's 83-74 win, finishing with 17 points, seven boards, five assists, and one block. He finished the weekend scoring a team-high 21 points on 8/14 shooting on Saturday, adding five more rebounds in Alberta's 84-69 win.
The Golden Bears will host the 6-12 Lethbridge Pronghorns this weekend in the regular season finale at Saville Community Sports Centre.Â
