Setting a new program record at the 50th Annual Golden Bears Open, first-year Golden Bear Regev Stillman is the Sherlock Holmes Athlete of the Week. 

Stillman, a product of Calgary, set a new Bears record in the Heptathlon with a final score of 4712, earning a third-place finish in the multi-sport event in the Butterdome. 

The score of 4712 broke the previous record of 4486, set by current Bear Derek Parker in the same event one year ago. Parker finished the 2023 event with 4365 points, placing 7th. 

Stillman's shining moment came in the 1000m, as he finished second with a time of 2:47.16, earning 766 points. He also earned 713 points thanks to a 9.15 60m hurdles time, and 762 points from a 7.35 60m dash. His pole vault of 4.10 meters was also second best in the field. 

Next on the Track & Field calendar is the Bison Classic, scheduled for February 3rd and 4th in Winnipeg.
