Leading the U SPORTS No. 2 ranked Golden Bears to a semifinal sweep over the Calgary Dinos, Noah Philp has been named the Sherlock Holmes Pub Athlete of the Week. 

Philp powered the Bears offence in their two wins over the Dinos, finishing with eight points in back-to-back wins at Clare Drake Arena on Friday & Saturday night. 

The second-year Bear forward was sensational on Friday night, finishing with five points and a pair of shots. Philp scored a beauty early in the second to chase Dino starter Brodan Salmond, also adding four assists in their 6-2 win.

Philp scored a pair, and added an assist, in the Bears 6-1 win in Saturday's series-clinching win. Both of his goals came in the second period, as Alberta had little trouble in eliminating the Dinos.

Alberta will now host the UBC Thunderbirds in the 2022 Canada West Final, March 18th to 20th at Clare Drake Arena.
