Powering the Bears to an upset road win over the U SPORTS No. 7 ranked Calgary Dinos, second-year Bears tailback Matthew Peterson has been named the Sherlock Holmes Pub Athlete of the Week.

Peterson finished Sunday's 36-30 win with a pair of touchdowns, marking his second game this season with multiple major scores. The Brooks, Alta. product also finished with 90 rushing yards on 16 carries, as well as 58 receiving yards on three receptions at McMahon Stadium.

His first major score came on a one-yard TD rush in the opening quarter, before he added the game-winning 30-yard TD reception midway through the fourth quarter. Through four games this season, Peterson now has 239 yards and two scores on the ground, along with 111 yards and three touchdowns through the air.

Peterson and the 2-2 Bears will look to lock up a playoff spot on Saturday, as they host the 1-3 Regina Rams at Foote Field in their final home regular season game this season.
