Fourth-year Pandas forward Brooke Lang has been named the Sherlock Holmes Athlete of the Week, after leading the Pandas soccer team to their first win of 2021.

Lang, a product of St. Albert, Alberta, recorded a pair of points over the past weekend in the first pair of Pandas games at Foote Field since October of 2019.

The veteran forward scored the Pandas first goal of the season in Saturday's 2-1 loss to Calgary, as she converted from the penalty spot in the 86th minute. Lang also finished the game with five shots, three of which were on target. 

Lang added an assist on Megan Duro's insurance marker in the Pandas 2-0 win over Lethbridge on Sunday afternoon. She also added another six shots on Sunday, bringing her season total to 13 in three matches. 

The 1-2-0 Pandas will return to action this Saturday, when they head down to Calgary for a Saturday clash with the 1-1-0 Mount Royal Cougars.
