Canada West will return to their traditional eight-game schedule for the 2022 Football season, as the conference announced next seasons schedule on Thursday morning.
The Golden Bears will open the 2022 season in Vancouver, when they visit the UBC Thunderbirds on September 3rd. Alberta will host the Manitoba Bisons on September 9th at Foote Field in their home-opener.
Highlighting the season will be the Bears home game on October 15th, when they host the
Calgary Dinos at Commonwealth Stadium in a football doubleheader with the Edmonton Elks.
The Bears will also host Saskatchewan (September 23rd) and UBC (October 29th) at Foote Field this fall.

- Saturday, October 8: Conference-wide bye week
- November 5: Hardy Cup Semifinals
- November 12: CW champion crowned at the 85th Hardy Cup
Alberta is coming off a 3-3 regular season in 2021, losing to Manitoba in the Hardy Cup Semifinal in Winnipeg. The Bears have made the playoffs in three of the last four seasons under head coach
Chris Morris.
