The five-time U SPORTS Champion Golden Bears Soccer program announced their 2021 recruiting class on Friday, with four players set to join the Evergreen and Gold this fall.

Two of the four recruits are out of the U23 Pacific FC program in Victoria, BC (Dylan Atwal & Armaan Nijjar), with Adyn Lamont also coming from Vancouver Island (Duncan, BC). The final recruit, Carlos Patino, was born in Tulua, Columbia, and has professional experience having played with Cavalry FC in 2019.

Under head coach Martin Fenger-Andersen, the Bears went 5-6-3 in conference play in 2019, eventually falling to UBC in the Canada West quarter-final. The 2020 CW season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. 

The Golden Bears will play 10 games this fall, with their home opener set for September 26th against the MacEwan Griffins at Foote Field.

Adyn is a tough central defender with a strong physical profile and a good range of passing in possession of the ball.
