LETHBRIDGE - In the final game of the Canada West regular season, the Pronghorns faced a challenging matchup against the University of Alberta Golden Bears at the University of Lethbridge Gymnasium. Despite a strong effort, the Pronghorns were unable to overcome the Golden Bears, who earned the 89-57 victory.
Isaac Simon paced the Bears with a game-high 26 points, as they conclude conference play with a 14-6 record.
Kymani Pollard stood out for the Pronghorns with 22 points and an impressive five steals.
During the first quarter, the Pronghorns showed resilience, attempting to keep pace with the Golden Bears' impressive shooting, which had been a decisive factor in their previous encounter. Jack-Henry Fox-Grey managed to contribute from the free-throw line, but the team found themselves trailing early as the Golden Bears, propelled by Brandon Mieklejohn's three-point shooting, took a significant lead.
The struggle for the Pronghorns continued into the second quarter. Simon's versatile scoring, totaling 18 points by halftime, widened the gap between the teams. Kymani Pollard and Jack-Henry Fox-Grey worked to find scoring opportunities for the Pronghorns, but faced difficulty in matching the Golden Bears' offensive efficiency, which boasted a 64% shooting from the floor, including a remarkable 9/17 from beyond the arc.
In the third quarter, both teams added an equal number of points to the scoreboard. Simon continued to be a significant threat, pushing his total to 26 points. The Golden Bears' lead extended to as much as 35 points during the period, with notable contributions from

The fourth quarter saw the Pronghorns making scoring efforts through Avery Hutcheson and a three-point shot by Shae Gibb. However, every attempt to close the gap was countered by the Golden Bears, with
