The University of Alberta Sports Wall of Fame brings together the celebrated past, the promising present, and the future Golden Bears and Pandas Athletics.
 
Through the recognition of the of the honoured inductees and those that will lead in the future, our university athletics program will continue to grow and develop outstanding contributors to our local, national and international community.

Each year a select group of individuals are added on to the University of Alberta Sports Wall of Fame in honour of those athletes and builders who significantly contributed to the Golden Bears and Pandas. Inductees are nominated and chosen by a selection committee made up of senior University and community leaders, varsity alumni, and members of the Green and Gold Athletic Society.

Opened in 2015, thanks to the generous contributions of Sports Wall of Fame member Maury Van Vliet, the new Hall of Fame, which houses the Sports Wall of Fame is adorned with inductee plaques, championship pictures and an interactive touch screen, providing a look back into the history of athletics at the University of Alberta.
