Marcus is entering his first season with the Golden Bears program. He is High Performance 1 certified and will soon be a certified NCCP Hockey Canada National Skills Coach. He is also a NCCP Coach Facilitator/Instructor and NCCP instructional stream certified 1, 2 & 3 for Developing Defensemen, Shooting & Scoring, Skills, Skating.Â

Marcus has been coaching in Calgary for the last 4 years. Most recently as Head Coach of the U18 AA Bruins (NWCAA). Leading the team to consecutive City Finals & Esso Minor Hockey week Finals. He served as an assistant coach at the 2020 Alberta Winter Games, taking home silver for Zone 3 (Calgary), and as an assistant at Peewee prospect cup 2019. Marcus played Jr. A with the Notre Dame Hounds in the SJHL and Midget AAAÂ with the Calgary North Stars.Â

Marcus is currently pursuing his MBA and graduated from the University of Calgary’s Haskayne school of business, majoring in Finance.
