Are you an athletics alumni?
If you ever donned green and gold for your sport at the U of A, you understand the significance of striving to be better. The original “Adopt-an-Athlete” program helped athletes do just that, financially assisting varsity sports for over 30 years. Even though the landscape and competitiveness of Canadian university sport has evolved since that program’s launch in 1985, what hasn't changed is the extraordinary level of dedication from our Golden Bears and Pandas. Today, Support the Sport is designed for the future of high-performance athletics at the U of A.

Are you a friend, family member or supporter?
Athletes get a lot of credit for the dedication, strength, and sacrifice they demonstrate —and rightfully so. However, they’re not the only ones with an unwavering commitment! As a supporter, you are the silent strength behind their success, dedicating your time, energy and generosity to the student-athletes you cheer on. Support the Sport can help make an even bigger impact because it’s based on the champion mindset of working together. By being here, you’re showing our Golden Bears and Pandas the U of A has the best supporters of all!

Paying via cheque?
1) Make cheque payable to “The University of Alberta"
2) In the NOTES line write “Golden Bears Hockey Support The Sport (03750)”
3) Include a note in the envelope that includes your full name, mailing address, phone number, email address, and states your intention that your donation is to be made to “The Golden Bears Hockey Support The Sport Fund (03750)”
