• The Golden Bears bring a two-tournament winning streak into their home invitational, having captured both the inaugural Cougar Cup and last weekend's Pronghorn Invitational this fall. 
• With Alberta's men fresh off a four-stroke team win and the women coming off a runner-up finish, both programs will be chasing more hardware at home. The Bears and Pandas each captured the UofA Invitational in 2024, with both teams placing second in 2025. 
• The UofA Invitational will be the final event prior to the Canada West Championship, October 4-6 in Lethbridge.

Story Lines:

• The 2026 U SPORTS Champion Pandas were selected to represent Canada at the NORCECA Final Six this in Zinacantepec, Mexico. 
• Leading the Pandas is head coach Carolyn O'Dwyer, who is also an assistant coach with the Canadian Senior National Team. 
• The preliminary round will be played in a round-robin format from September 21-25, with each team facing the other five. At the conclusion of the 15 matches, the top four teams will advance to the semifinals on September 26. 
• Canada is looking for their first medal at this event, which is in its sixth year of competition.

• Early last week, it was announced that the Golden Bears Soccer program will host the 2027 U SPORTS Championship next November at Foote Field.
