THUNDER BAY, ON - Fifth-year Panda Vianne Rouleau pinned Saskatchewan Huskie Myah Philips in the final match of the championship, securing a U SPORTS Championship banner for Pandas Wrestling.

The win moved Alberta one point ahead of the Canada West Champion Calgary Dinos in a dramatic finish in Thunder Bay. The U SPORTS Championship is the third in team history for Pandas Wrestling, and second in the last four seasons. With the gold medal performance on Saturday, Rouleau became just the second Panda in team history to win four individual U SPORTS medals, and the first Panda to win three U SPORTS gold medals.

Victoria Stefanov (50kg) also earned individual gold for the Pandas on Saturday, along with silver medals from Aaliyah Hartfelder (72kg) and Maria Sawiak (68kg), and a bronze medal from Natasha Ekundayo (56kg). Stefanov was also named the U SPORTS Rookie of the Year, matching the same award she won at the Canada West Championship.

With Pandas Wrestling's title, the University of Alberta has now won a national championship for 33-consecutive seasons, a streak that began in 1993/94.

Golden Bears Wrestling earned five total individual medals in Thunder Bay, placing fourth overall as a team.  Aidan Stevenson (82kg) and Thomas Rousseau (90kg) earned silver medals, to go along with bronze medals from Ben Reid (57kg), Eli Fines (76kg), and Bjorn Nelson (125kg).

The Brock Badgers won their 10th national title in 11 seasons.
