REGINA, SK - Memorial's women's team and Carleton's men's team are the only two undefeated squads remaining through Wednesday at the 2026 U SPORTS/CCAA Curling Championships being hosted by the University of Regina at the Caledonian Curling Club in Regina.

Following an opening-day loss to Memorial, the Canada West Champion Alberta Pandas returned to form with wins over Calgary (8-5) and Queen's (8-2) on Day 2 of the U SPORTS Championship in Regina. 

The Alberta women led Calgary 5-3 after four ends, before scoring two in the eighth to clinch the 8-5 win. In the evening draw, the Pandas led 5-1 through three ends, with another score of three in the fifth ending the game early. The Pandas will play Guelph and UNB on Thursday. 

Memorial sits at 3-0 after the Seahawks followed up their Day 1 win over Alberta with close wins over McMaster and New Brunswick on Wednesday. The Seahawks were behind 4-3 heading into the final end against McMaster on Wednesday afternoon, but scored one in the eighth and one more in the extra end to come away with a 5-4 victory. In the night draw, Memorial survived a four-point end by New Brunswick in the sixth and outlasted the Reds for a 9-7 win which gave the Seahawks their third win in as many games to start the tournament.

On the men's side, Carleton is the lone undefeated team remaining as the Ravens sport a 3-0 record thanks to a Tuesday win over host Regina and Wednesday victories over both Calgary and Alberta. Carleton scored three in the sixth and added one more in the seventh to force handshakes with a 6-2 lead, and then opened the game against Alberta with three in the first end before taking out the Golden Bears by a 6-4 score. Carleton's two scheduled Thursday opponents, York and Dalhousie, are both 1-2 through the second day of the event.

The Golden Bears opened their U SPORTS Championship with a win over Laurier on Tuesday, but followed it up with losses to Memorial and Carleton on Wednesday to fall to 1-2. Alberta will play Dalhousie and York on Thursday. 

The championships feature eight men's teams and eight women's teams competing in round-robin play through Friday. Draws continue Thursday with games scheduled for 12:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. local time at the Callie. The top four teams in each competition will advance to the semifinals on Saturday morning, with gold and bronze medal games set for Saturday afternoon.
