EDMONTON - Golden Bears Hockey opens their second half with a 4-3 home overtime loss to Regina, falling to 8-7-4 in conference play. The loss snaps a seven-game win streak for Alberta over Regina, who improves to 3-16-0 with the win.

Paycen Bjorklund led Regina with a goal and an assist, playing a central role in the Cougars' second-period surge. Logan Barlage added a goal at even strength, while Carson Whyte scored Regina's third goal to swing momentum back in the visitors' favour. Jackson Doucet delivered the decisive moment, scoring the short-handed overtime winner.
For Alberta,

First Period
Alberta struck first at 4:40, when

Second Period

The period ended with tempers flaring, as coincidental roughing minors and a 10-minute misconduct to Laventure set the tone for a tense third.
Third Period

Justin Hall tied the game, finishing a setup from
Alex Thacker and
Adam Hall. Regina answered again at 9:36, as Carson Whyte restored the Cougars' lead with an unassisted goal off a broken play.
