Yewdall scores late, Pandas win 10th-straight

LANGLEY, British Columbia – Alberta Panda Raegan Yewdall scored the lone goal with less than two minutes remaining to give the No. 3 Pandas a 1-0 win over the Trinity Western Spartans Friday night at Langley Events Centre in Langley, B.C. The loss drops the Spartans to 12-12-1-0, while the win moves the Pandas to 21-3-0-1.
 
Fourth-year goalie Kate Fawcett (Tottenham, Ont.) made 27 saves in the TWU loss, while Grace Glover made 26 saves in the Pandas shutout win.
 
UP NEXT
The Spartans will now look for a split tomorrow night at the Aldergrove Community Centre. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. (PT) and can be seen live on Canada West TV.

  • The Pandas outshot the Spartans 28-26.
  • TWU was 0-1 on the power play, while Alberta was 0-3.
