The 2022 U SPORTS Champion Golden Bears are set to open their pre-season this weekend, as they welcome some of the nations best programs to Saville Community Sports Centre.

The Bears, who captured their 9th national title in March, will host the Calgary Dinos, Mount Royal Cougars, and Sherbrooke Vert et Or this weekend in the 2022 FOG Volleyball Classic. Also competing are a handful of top ACAC programs, including the NAIT Ooks, SAIT Trojans, Keyano Huskies, and Concordia Thunder.

Alberta, Calgary, and Sherbrooke all qualified for the 2022 U SPORTS Championship in Winnipeg, with Alberta winning gold, and Sherbrooke topping Calgary for bronze. Mount Royal finished third in the Central Divison of Canada West, and return a large core of veteran talent for the 2022/23 season.  

The first night of action is Thursday, September 22, with the tournament running through Saturday, September 24. Tickets are avaiable at the link below.
