Second-year Golden Bears forward
Noah Philp has signed a one-year contract with the Edmonton Oilers for the 2022-23 season. Philp will join the Bakersfield Condors on an amateur try-out (ATO) for the remainder of the year.
Philp, a native of Canmore, Alberta, spent three years with the Golden Bears, suiting up in 59 games over two seasons (2019-20, 2021-22). Over the course of those 59Â games, the former Seattle Thunderbird recorded 33Â goals and 73 career points, which included 38 points in 36 career Canada West contests.
The 6-3 forward helped the Bears capture their 56th Canada West title earlier in March, recording 10 points in four Canada West playoff games.Â

Philp was named to the Canada West All-Rookie team in 2019-20 after recording 27 points in 28 conference games. He spent four seasons in the Western Hockey League with the Kootenay Ice and Seattle Thunderbirds.
Noah joins his brother Luke to earn NHL contracts after playing for the Golden Bears, with Luke joining the Flames organization in 2019. Philp is the 7th Golden Bears alumni to be a member of the Edmonton Oilers organization.Â
